  • Capella University DiscountEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Oversight and Management of the Residential Services Department:
    • Provide weekly reports to the Residential Director; including updates on ongoing issues, items that the Director has requested to be addressed, concerns with supervisor and development, client needs, disciplinary actions completed, guardian concerns and follow ups.Client Services:
      • Ensuring SAILS and Washington State policies are being followed, clients are receiving necessary services.
      • Work hours are typically Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00 pm but may require extra hours as needed for training, emergencies and high work volumes in the evenings and at weekends. On Call hours included after hours and on weekends. Must find approved on-call coverage when planning on being out of town or unavailable.
      • Responsibilities include being on call to direct reports (supervisors), Behavior Support Team, and Washington Residential Director in the event of behavioral episodes or medical emergencies that require immediate response. Be available via phone to support employees, Supervisors and Director with challenging behaviors, staffing emergencies, medical emergencies and other support as needed.
      • Attending all annual Person-Centered Service Plan (Assessments) meetings.
      • Ensure client annual plan annual Individual Plan, Positive Behavior Support Plan, Refusal of Services Plans and Restrictive Procedure plans are written within required timelines.
      • Work with Behavior Specialist to ensure behavior data is collected, reviewed and analyzed every six months to ensure behaviors are being tracked and plans are effectively implemented.
      • Complete Semi-Annual plan reviews with Program Supervisors and Behavior Team to ensure client goals are being implemented and that progress is being documented.
      • Maintains positive relationships with stakeholders, clients, families, guardians and other agencies that are involved in clients care and support.
      • Attending meetings with guardians and case managers to ensure clients and guardians concerns are addressed and solutions developed.
      • Other Duties as assigned.Required education and experience:
        • High School Diploma
        • 2 years experience working with Clients with Disabilities
        • 3 years Supervisory experiencePreferred education and experience:
          • Bachelors Degree in Human Services or related field
            • 3+ years working with people with disabilities.
            • 5+ years managing teams

              Training Expectations:
              • Received training from DDA regarding writing IISPs and PBSPs
              • Nurses Aide Registered (NAR) and able to be Nurse Delegated
              • Certified in Crisis Prevention Institute, Right Response, or other similar training.
              • Certified in CPR/First AidOngoing eligibility qualifications:
                • Complete and pass the background check screening upon hire and every two years thereafter, or asrequested.
                • Maintain active NAR, CPR/First Aid, Nurse Delegation and other required certifications.Complete a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education annually.SAILS Washington and Citizen Access Residential Resources are part of the Redwood Family Care Network family of companies.
